Le-Te-Protein" project meeting in Scharfling

(LeTe-Protein: Extraction of sustainable protein sources (duckweed and mealybug larvae) with secondary raw materials and use in aquaculture)
On April 9th another meeting of the Le-Te-Protein project took place at the IGF. The aim of the project is to explore the potential of alternative protein sources and to provide impetus for the circular economy and improved resource management.

After a general presentation of the BAW for all project partners, current progress and challenges in the rearing of both protein sources were reported and further steps for the production of fish feed were discussed. This was followed by a visit to the Kreuzstein fish farm to explore future feed production and feeding trials.

We are already looking forward to the next results.
