The Dobra dam at the river Kamp in Lower Austria was in the planning phase and the following experimental programme was drawn up to be investigated in a physical model:
- Investigations on the flow conditions
(a) in the area of the dam (spillway, stilling basin)
(b) from the tailwater of the dam to about 200 m after the road bridge - Investigations on turbine outflow and pump inflow
- Investigations on the flow conditions during the construction phase (safety for employees, the construction site and nature)
- Investigations on the bottom outlet
For this project, the Institute has prepared several design recommendations.
