1st course part: General module (2 days, 16 units)

This part of the course covers topics equally important for all aquaculture sponsors.

2nd course part: Specialized module aquaculture in warm water recirculation systems (3 days, 24 units):

Course participants will gain a sound insight into essential aspects of fish production in warm water recirculation systems, from basic system technology and planning to operation and maintenance of recirculation systems.

Other topics include fish diseases, hygiene and aquaponics. The course concludes with a technical field trip to recirculation plants, providing direct insight into operations.

Graduates should be able to assess the basic technological as well as economic possibilities and risks of fish production in a warm water recirculation plant and thus acquire the basis for entry into this form of fish production.
