Danube Day 2024 - "The coolest place"

That's what many pupils and teachers had to say at our "Design your river" station at Danube Day 2024 in Orth an der Donau.

Danube Day is celebrated annually throughout the Danube region. This day is dedicated to the protection of the Danube habitat and focuses on the uniqueness and diversity of the river.

To mark 20 years of Danube Day, around 300 pupils enjoyed an exciting programme with several interactive stations on the Danube habitat on 17 June 2024. Using our river model, they were able to observe the development of a river, intervene and experience the power of water.
