Interreg CE Project INACO – Fourth Project Meeting in Košice, SK

At the end of the second project year, the fourth INACO project meeting took place in Košice, Slovakia, at the Technical University TUKE before the turn of the year. In addition to the general progress of the project, the focus was primarily on work package 2. This involves the development of online tools that can be used to assess the vulnerability of natural and cultural heritage sites to natural hazards (CNH-Care app) and to evaluate the risks of natural hazards on a European to local scale (Risk Mapping Tool website). The former is being developed in two versions: a light version for interested citizens, who can use it to provide data for hazard assessment as part of a citizen science approach, and a pro version that builds on the light version but has more features aimed at experts.

As with previous project meetings, this one also concluded with an excursion to heritage sites in the region that are threatened by natural hazards and climate change, such as the monastery in Rožňava and Krásna Hôrka Castle.
