As part of the INACO project, a local seminar was held in the Lake Neusiedl region, Austria’s pilot area within the project.
The event was aimed at local and regional citizens, giving them the possibility to interactively engage with the project. The Lake Neusiedl region is increasingly affected by droughts, which pose a serious threat to its unique natural and cultural heritage. The seminar was organized as a National Park Ranger Tour, coordinated through the Biological Station Illmitz. The tour guided participants through key areas of the region, highlighting the local flora and fauna and exploring how climate change is already impacting these ecosystems. The event placed a strong focus on the protection of natural heritage and discussed how each individual can contribute to safeguarding the region’s biodiversity and landscape.
