On April 23 and 24, 2026, an online training session and workshop were held as part of the Interreg Central Europe project INACO, focusing on decision-support tools for vulnerability assessment and climate risk mapping for cultural and natural heritage.
The tools are:
- CNH-Care (Lite & Pro) – tools for vulnerability assessment
- INACO Risk Mapping Tool – to support the analysis of climate hazards and spatial risk identification
First, the Risk Mapping Tool and CNH Care Pro were presented to and discussed with experts in the field of natural and cultural heritage protection during an online meeting. The following day, a workshop for non-experts was held, during which the CNH Care Lite app was explained and tested. Both professionals and non-experts then had time to try out the tools and conduct evaluations of cultural or natural heritage sites. The feedback from these events provides valuable input for further improving the tools.
By integrating climate models, environmental indicators, and mapping technologies, the INACO project contributes to improving resilience strategies in the river basin districts of Central Europe. Data-driven methods and applications developed within the project can significantly support risk-informed decision-making and preparedness.
