The first of two international conferences in the Interreg Central Europe project INACO took place on 13 May 2025 at the Technical Museum in Prague. The conference was dedicated to the protection of natural and cultural heritage sites from natural hazards. A special focus was placed on the utilisation of synergies between projects dealing with this topic, as well as the networking of the actors involved.
In addition to the sessions on local, national and regional strategies and plans, also case studies were presented and there was ample time for discussions on how our cultural and natural heritage can be better protected from extreme events. Over 50 people from a wide range of fields took part – from universities, to museums and other cultural institutions, and representatives of municipalities and local authorities. Networking and cooperation are particularly essential for the protection of natural and cultural assets and is therefore also constitutes an important part of the INACO project.
