Another Successful Completion of the Basic Hydrometry Course
In spring 2026, another course of “Hydrometry in Theory and Practice – Basic Course on Flow Measurement in Rivers and Streams” was successfully completed. A total of 13 participants finished both the online theory module and the practical training days at Lake Mondsee. The course focused on the practical application of fundamental methods for flow determination. Participants carried out measurements directly in the field, including at the Fuschler Ache near St. Lorenz.
In addition, a tracer measurement at the Kienbach was conducted. This method is particularly suitable for small alpine streams and complements the range of standard measurement techniques.
The Federal Agency for Water Management would like to thank all lecturers and instructors for their dedicated work and congratulates the participants on successfully completing the course.
