In winter 2020/21, the first construction phase of the measures, tested and further developed by experiments in our laboratory at Severingasse was implemented.

The right bank of the Bregenzerach is now easily accessible. The gently sloped banks also mean more stability during floods and more habitat. Completion of all measures is planned by 2024.
