Bregenzerach lower reach - model test is implemented

In the winter of 2021/22, the second and thus final construction phase of those measures was implemented that were tested and further developed in a model trial here in Severingasse.

Both banks of the Bregenzerach between Harder Bridge and Lake Constance are now easily accessible. The flatter banks also mean more stability during floods and more habitat. The greater width gives floods more space and thus improves flood safety. The pictures show the Bregenzerach at low water in July 2022. The discharge is only about 15 cubic meters per second, which is only about one third of the average discharge.
