In the methodology course the extensive knowledge is imparted to carry out standardised fish surveys according to the "Leitfaden zur Erhebung der Biologischen Qualitätselemente, Teil 1A Fische", in English translated for „Guideline for the survey of the biological quality elements, Part 1A Fishes“. Legal background, data flow and methodology are taught.
In the electrofishing course the practical and theoretical knowledge needed to conduct fish surveys using electrical fishing is taught.
