Water Tests

Since July 2023, water samples for suitability testing for aquaculture can again be analyzed in our laboratory in Scharfling.

Routinely, the following physico-chemical parameters are analyzed:

  •     Temperature
  •     Oxygen
  •     Conductivity
  •     pH value
  •     Alkaninity
  •     Ammonium

Samples can be treated only by telephone agreement.
The prices are based on our current tariff schedule.

Instructions for the correct collection of water samples

Container: clean glass/plastic bottles; e.g. mineral water bottles
Volume: at least 2 liters per sample
Sampling points: Inlet + outlet

  1. Measure the temperature on site at the sampling point and make a note of it.
  2. Label bottle: sampling point, date, time, possibly sampler
  3. Rinse the bottle (also the lid!) several times with the sample.
  4. Hold the bottle horizontally at the water surface and slowly lower it 20-30 cm so that the water can flow in slowly à avoid splashing!
    see figure 1
  5. If possible, close bottle under water free of air bubbles, also free the lid from air bubbles beforehand (turn upwards under water!)
  6. If not possible: Fill the bottle completely without air bubbles, form a water dome on the bottle opening using the lid and close the bottle.
    see figure 2
  7. For transport or storage, COOL the samples! (4-7°C)

Proceed in the same way for each sample.
