Module 2: Fish biology: Cyprinids and Additional fishes (70 lessons, two weeks duration)

Location of the course: Institute for Aquatic Ecology and Fisheries Management, Scharfling / Mondsee
During module 2 emphasis is on the aquaculture and biology of cyprinid and perch like fishes. Moreover, we teach the fish families of eel, sturgeon, catfish and loach. Some more important subjects are aquatic communities (crayfish, macrozoobenthos, amphibians), assignment of fish and the handling of gill nets.
