Module 5: electrical fishing and freshwater ecology (40 lessons, one week duration)
Participants: maximum 28 persons
Location of the course: Institute for Aquatic Ecology and Fisheries Management, Scharfling / Mondsee
Theoretical as well as practical training in electrical fishing is subject of module 5. Important topics are the save handling of the equipment, the impact of electricity on humans and animals, and legal principles. Moreover, substantial issues concerning water ecology (running waters and lakes), management of waters (hydraulic engineering, fish ladder, fish in standing waters) and the correct transport of fish are conducted.
